We are pleased to offer the following talks! As places are limited, please sign up in advance online at www.artistsspace.org.
American artist Amy Sillman (b. 1955) is widely recognized as one of the most significant painters of her generation. Since the early 1990s, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice that spans painting, drawing, digital animation, printmaking, large-scale installations, and critical writing. Sillman’s process-oriented work navigates the contested terrains between images and words, line and shape, object and site, meaning and feeling.
Charles Goldman is a visual artist working in conceptually motivated abstract sculpture, painting, and performance. Noted for his materials-driven practice, Goldman has spent over three decades pursuing innovation and open dialogue around sustainability, often favoring the process of material building and community over formal concerns.
