Paul Arámbula is a songwriter. In January 2025, he released a new album titled Still's Keep on Gilgongo Records. Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, Paul began playing in various projects from the age of 15. Namely The Chandails, Vegetable, Soft Shoulder, Mall, and finally under his own name as a solo act. Upon moving to Berlin, Germany, Paul gravitated towards writing songs on an old Yamaha keyboard/synthesizer due to its rhythm presets and "full accompaniment." This minimal setup was performed for years. Paul has played in places like Braille Satellite in Lithuania, Real No Real events in Madrid, KRAAK Fest for Kraak Records in Belgium, Association du Salopard in Lausanne, and concerts as well as a few compilations for Kashual Plastik out of Berlin. Now with recordings that have expanded a bit beyond the solo-keyboard, Paul's songs feature more layers and instruments. Helping him perform these songs for this event, Paul will be joined by backing band The Keeps—who premiered for Still's Keep album release concert at Blank Forms in Brooklyn in 2024. The Keeps (for this night) are: Jorge Garcia (guitar & keys), Mimi Howard (bass), Michael Mandeville (keys), and Alec Recinos (guitar & keys).
