Segue Reading Series: Holly Melgard & Trey (also known as Vernon Keeve III). January 22, 2022, Artists Space.

Trey (also known as Vernon Keeve III) is a Virginia born, queer writer. They currently live and teach in Oakland. They hold an MFA from CCA, and a MA in Teaching Literature from Bard College. Trey’s full-length collection of poetry, Southern Migrant Mixtape, was published by Nomadic Press in 2018 and is the recipient of the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award.

Holly Melgard’s Fetal Position arrives as her first full-length book of poetry with an outside publisher after a decade of self-publishing via the Troll Thread collective (a P.O.D. + .pdf platform). With a PhD in Poetics from SUNY Buffalo, she adjuncts at NYU and CUNY, and freelance book designs.
