julie ezelle patton is the author of the chapbooks Notes for Some (Nominally) Awake; “Car Tune” & Not So Bella Donna, and The Flower Poem. In 2024, a special issue of Chicago Review was devoted to her four-decade poetic, performative, and visual practice. A significant collection of her work, J Walking Through the Alphabet, will be out in early 2027.


Cecilia Vicuña is a poet, artist, activist, and filmmaker whose work addresses pressing concerns of the modern world, including ecological destruction, human rights, and cultural homogenization. The author of more than 30 volumes of art and poetry published in the United States, Europe, and Latin America, including Educate; Libro Venado/ Deer Book; and Saborami. She received the Gold Lion for Lifetime Achievement in 2022 at the 59th Venice Biennale.
