Segue Reading Series: Julian Louis Phillips & LA Warman. February 26, 2022, Artists Space.

Julian Louis Phillips is a Brooklyn born artist. After attending Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Phillips earned his MFA at Social Practice Queens at Queens College. He has exhibited and performed throughout the Northeast and has received fellowships and residencies from More Art, Jamaica Center of Arts and Learning, and NARS Foundation. Phillips work uses sculpture, performance, video, and text to explore relationships between social structures and personal narratives. He is based in New York.

LA Warman is a poet and teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. She founded the Warman School which has over 400 graduates in courses such as Write Death and Write the Erotic Body. Her most recent book Whore Foods was awarded the Lambda Literary Award.
