Postponed: Performance
March 22, 2020, 7pm
Due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19, Artists Space will be rescheduling this program.
Producing work at the intersection of theater, dance, performance, and civic encounter, 600 Highwaymen (Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone) will adapt Kennedy's poignant 1996 essay Secret Paragraphs About My Brother, re-envisioning the autobiographical essay as a dramatized monologue. Centered around the death of her brother, the prose expounds the impact of personal tragedy, her anxieties as a Black writer, and the potential power in occupying a state of unknowing.
Performance by Toni Ann DeNoble.
