Karlberg’s moving image works derived from performances and scripted scenarios, articulate the fragmented voyeurism of online portals and the sexualized body as a critical motif. Often relating to arenas of public life in which the female body is subjected to the demands of industry – from fashion to yoga – Karlberg’s highly performative presence across the videos projects a resistant and celebratory subjectivity.
