Digital Security and the Legal Framework of Surveillance

Please join us for a presentation by Jacob Eisenmann covering digital and physical security best practices and an overview of the U.S. legal framework governing surveillance. We will mostly focus on best practices for cellphone, computer, and internet use and the federal surveillance statutes including FISA, Title III, § 2703, National Security Letters, and Rule 41 search warrants. We will also cover basic "know-your-rights" ground rules for law enforcement encounters.
