A live performance in conjunction with Martha Colburn’s film Triumph of the Wild.
During a Black Room screening of her film Triumph of the Wild, Martha Colburn is accompanied by a cadre of experimental musicians to present a live film-mix of Colburn's animations and other found footage. The improvised sonic mayhem of the performers will coincide with the tumbling narratives of Colburn's film, which follows American wars through history.
The performers: Haleh Abghari, Raven Chacon, Martha Colby, Mike Evans, Laura Ortman, Nathan Whipple.
Triumph of the Wild remains on view in the Black Room through Saturday, April 18th.
