Artists Space

MICHAEL ASHER

November 22, 2024 — February 8, 2025

Artists Space presents a focused survey of Michael Asher's work, organized in cooperation with the Michael Asher Foundation. Although Asher is best known for site-specific exhibitions that left no visible trace, his practice encompassed a broad range of 20th-century media, including film, television, radio, magazines, household items, advertising, and graphic identities. This exhibition features material remnants and writings related to projects involving distributed media, everyday objects, and branding. It marks the first major solo presentation of Asher's work since his passing in 2012.
