Artists Space is pleased to present Artists for Artists Space, a very special benefit exhibition presented in our downstairs gallery from April 27 to May 13.

Emerging from New York's downtown artist community in 1973, Artists Space has been a launching pad and gathering place for generations of artists, curators, writers, and devotees ever since. Artists Space is an indispensable site for exhibitions, performances, public programs, and critical conversations while always maintaining our founding commitment to complexity, collaboration, support for radical art forms, and visibility for all communities. As our name makes clear, we cherish the deep-seated intimacy we maintain with the thousands of artists who have made their debuts with us, and the central role artists play in all aspects of our institution.

Artists Space offers significant resources to early-career and under-acknowledged artists towards the creation of ambitious new commissions and exhibitions. On the milestone occasion of our 50th anniversary, Artists for Artists Space will help raise holistic support for this important work, which is at the core of our mission.
