This event has no predetermined beginning or end. Dance studio life ✌ These girls were amazing today! will exist as a temporary spatial occupation spanning several hours. Walsh uses, as material, found (outsourced) choreographies and (computational) coding systems, which she layers to create new orders of time and information for herself and her performers to occupy. Deeply formalist, energetically sensitive, and tonally bizarre, Walsh's work occupies territory between post-modernism and pop in a singular way, approaching dance as a non-fiction form. Dance studio life ✌ These girls were amazing today! is a study in relation to the circulation of dance on the internet.

In keeping with Union Gaucha Productions’ prioritization of the regional over the national, Gillian Walsh has constructed a non-dramaturgical model of presentation in distinction to a typical and sanctioned arrangement of seating, a stage, and a 7pm start time. As this performance does not have a set beginning or end, visitors are encouraged to attend at their own pace.

Performers for Dance studio life ✌ These girls were amazing today! include: Maggie Cloud, Nicole Daunic, Mickey Mahar and Gillian Walsh.
