Friends of Artists Space

In 2010, Artists Space launched its new 'Friends of Artists Space' program, with contributions starting at $2,500 (respectively $5,000, $7,500, $15,000) annually and a desired long-term commitment of at least three years.

The 'Friends of Artists Space' funds exclusively support our programming – artists’ work and their exhibitions here at Artists Space - this is the most direct investment in artists and their production.

The Annual Friends of Artists Space Dinner in honor of Yvonne Rainer was held on the 6th of May, 2011, 7:30pm. The laudation was spoken by Gregg Bordowitz, artist, writer, member of the activist group Act Up, and Professor of Film, Video, and New Media at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon gave a special live performance; Babette Mangolte, Charles Atlas, and Paul Chan also made contributions to this special evening. Food was prepared by Arnold & Henderson, London.
